We are seeking experienced Carpenters for projects located in   Banff, Alberta.

Responsibilities
 
Construction of concrete formwork
Install anchor bolts and embedded steel for concrete
Build hoardings and temporary shelters
Rough framing and installation of sheet materials, decking and blocking
Assemble rough timber and steel members with bolts, screws and nails
Complete task hazard assessments and maintain a safe work environment
General labour duties and cleanup
May work with or near chemicals, cranes and moving equipment
Qualifications   
Have relevant experience in heavy commercial construction
Be in good health and physically fit
Journeyman certificate an asset but not required
Skills and Attributes
 
Able to work at heights and balance on platforms, scaffolds and decks
Able to work alone or as part of a team
Display good verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge in trade related math and basic layout
Hardworking and able to accepts direction from a supervisor
Hand and finger dexterity for reaching, handling and feeling while working
Other Requirements
 
Workers must provide their own safety footwear
Workers are required to provide their own basic hand tools
Workers must have transportation to access the parking lot of the Sulphur Mountain Gondola
Work Conditions
 
 
 
This position is physically demanding and involves exposure to all elements of outdoor work. Hours for this position are based on a standard 44-hour work week with added overtime as required. Successful candidates will be available to work overtime, evenings and weekends as required. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to working safe on our jobsites.
